Terry Adams flatland battle

Terry Adams just returned from the King of Ground contest in Tokyo Japan. He wound up getting 7th place and 5th in the World Circuit points. Above is the battle he won against Dominik Nekonly, from the Check Republic.

I was pretty stoked on the way I rode. With 56 riders in Pro flat, I felt lucky to be in the top 10.

More Aitken Events / Benefits

We’re flowing some treats to the Kink / Red Bull’s Trick or Treat Jam this weekend and they’ll be raffling it off with proceeds going toward the Mike Aitken Fund. Full flyer after the jump.

If you can’t make it to the Trick or Treat Jam, make sure to check out last week’s post and maybe you’ll find one near you to attend.

Also, hit up Defgrip to check out a collaboration they did with DVS. It’s a pretty cool looking shoe with proceeds going towards the Mike Aitken Fund as well.

Mike Aitken Raffle

EDIT: THE RAFFLE IS OVER NOW. THANKS TO EVERY ONE WHO HELPED!

Recently, Mike Aitken was in a severe BMX accident. He has severe head trauma. The medical bills will be enormous. Mike is a professional rider and in his line of work he is not eligible for health insurance. They claim he is “too high risk.” Mike has contacted numerous insurance offices and has been denied by all. This is where the BMX community can come together and lend a hand to someone in need. You can help.

In collaboration with the 5050bmx, Odyssey is holding a raffle open to all those wanting to help out. $10 gets you 1 ticket, $20 gets you two and so on. What you will win is the bike in the flipbook above. To enter, please visit 5050bmx.com and click on one of the donate buttons at the bottom.

For more information and updates on Mike Aitken’s condition, please visit MikeAitken.com.

Aitken Video

The family over at 50/50 put together a heart warming video of Mike Aitken to help raise awareness. We have a raffle in the works as well so stay tuned for that. There’ll be more info later in the day.
