Quik Slic Kable® (Diagram)
The Quik Slic design eliminates flex in the straddle cable caused by bends, and the over or under-tightening of pinch bolts, resulting in snapped or slipping cables. It also saves money over machined straddle hangers that can look cool, but ultimately add a lot of flex. Its installation and removal on compatible frames and components is effortless. It is available in a Linear version only.
Linear SLS® Slic Kable® (Diagram)
This is our top of the line brake cable that ties together all of our most advanced braking technology. Utilizes the original BMX Linear Slic Kable housing to prevent binding when the bars are rotated. Factory installed ferrule ends with inner volcano shape to prevent housing blow out; A Linear Slic Kable standard since 2008. Specially coated inner wire for ultra low friction, a proven feature resurrected from our once famous Brakeline cables. Gyro lug included at one end of the inner wire for use with detanglers.

This is the original BMX linear cable. Launched in 2003. Our proven Slic Kable wire is surrounded by a compression-less housing to prevent the cable from binding when the cable is twisted around during barspin or tailwhip tricks. Special volcano end ferrules to prevent housing blowout have been included since 2008. Ideal for rear brakes.
RACE Linear Slic Kable® (Diagram)
We’ve taken our proven Linear Slic Kable(R) housing and replaced the steel linear wire with aluminum. Utilizing the aluminum wire in the housing saves you significant weight, roughly 30%. This cable also features our specially designed “volcano” ferrules that we’ve used since 2008 to prevent housing blowouts. This Kable also comes with color-coaded inner wires and ball ends to differentiate between our regular Linear’s Race Linear Slic Kable® – 2 oz Regular Linear Slic Kable® – 3.2 oz.

This is the original cable that we launched in 1986. Still the standard go-to brake cable because it has proven to be simple and reliable, year after year. The Slic liner and flattened outer surface of its inner wire keeps the cable running smooth, and the choice to use the brake lever lug end or the Gyro lug end makes this cable adaptable to every brake set-up. Traditional coiled housing is ideal for front brakes.
