Sandy Carson has been running around with his camera for the past few days at #TexasToast2013 and capturing some great moments from the jam. Above is Pat Miller rrrrooooassttting the Haro quarterpipe during the 35 and over Haro Veteran mini-event. When street qualifying happened yesterday, only a handful of dudes (out of 75+ riders) even came close to that level.
Make sure to head to ESPN for more photos.

BOOM. Here’s Rob Wise putting the Ride BMX billboard/wallride to proper use. It’s a hefty hop to get that high from that little quarter so a smith stall to 270 out is definitely no easy feat. Hit up Ride BMX for full photographic coverage of Day 2 Qualifying Events from #TexasToast2013.
Darryl Nau is now the proud owner of Taj’s bunny helmet! Photo from Ride BMX
One of the after parties we had going on was a live auction art show put on by Bell Helmets to benefit the Athlete Recovery Fund. They gave helmets to a handful of selected artists and gave them free rein to do whatever they wanted. To say the results were amazing is an understatement. All the helmets were incredible and a lot of cash was raised for a good cause.
Make sure to head over to Ride BMX to check out all the helmets and some photos from the show.
If you’re looking for a helmet to protect your dome, Bell has you covered.

Vital‘s #TexasToast2013 Day 2 gallery has some great snapshots in it. Above is Glenn Salyers flipping the tiny kicker. Crandall re-named him to Slayers for the duration of the event and with moves like this, it a fitting nickname. Click HERE to see the rest of the gallery.
Here’s some video coverage from Ride BMX of the Credence Bikes’ Cowbell Challenge. Aside from all the steezy whips, Leland’s announcing of this makes it a fun watch. Shout out again to Matty Aquizap. Hopefully we’ll all be hearing his name more soon ’cause the dude’s a shredder.
