Random team updates and videos

Rider Updates!

Here are some random team updates, including a couple old video parts. From left to right (full photos and videos after the jump):

  • Jim Cielencki’s physical therapy is going much better than expected! He’s also been on a Twittering like crazy.
  • Taj Mihelich’s section in Until Monkeys Fly. He has also posted a bikeography (?) on his blog. He runs through a list of a bunch of bikes he’s had from past to present. You can check that out HERE.
  • Adam Banton has some sick, creative lines in the new Inside/Out video.
  • Chase Gouin’s video part in Happy Days has made its way online in Krt Schmidt’s blog. In case you missed it, his signature tire (Frequency G) will now be available in Tanwall!

WWJCPCD?

Instead of shooting plastic into the JC mold, the JC PC was designed from the ground up, with many new ideas and only the JC shape in mind. The pledals have an ingenious way of attaching the body to the spindle. There is no spindle bolt hole. The pedal splits down the center, where the two mating sides sandwich around the spindle. Joining the two sides is achieved by the pins that thread into the mating side with replaceable steel nuts. This style of build creates an ultralight plastic pedal with the durability of an alloy pedal. In addition to weight savings, the grind options are multiplied compared to the metal version.

In other parts of the web, Jim Cielencki was in town for a handful of days last week and has a Top 5’s feature over on Defgrip. Ironically enough, Mike Dominquez was in our office last week too so JC can cross off one of the items in his “Top 5 People I’d Like to Meet” list.

After 4 and a half months of not being able to ride, Jim C’s ankles are healthy enough again for him to start riding at a “normal level.” To celebrate, he jumped over his car.
