What is 41-Thermal Heat Treating? ⬇️

41-Thermal is our 4130 chromoly manufacturing process that starts at the design stage, carries on throughout manufacturing, and is only completed when we reach the finishing steps. There are an endless amount of variables to fine tune, and every action along the way counts and matters.

We introduced 41-Thermal in 1999, and the process continues to evolve and change along with the products which proudly carry this famously trademarked name. Other companies have attempted to write the process off as a “gimmick” or they’ll say, “it’s just heat-treating.” The truth however is that nothing has revolutionized the manufacturing of chromoly BMX forks, bars, cranks and frames like 41-Thermal has.

41-Thermal products are backed by years of research and development, and they have always been fully supported by a lifetime replacement warranty that extends far beyond the typical “manufacturing defects only” coverage that’s offered by other brands. Tried and True.

Just a few days after taking one of the gnarliest slams I’ve ever witnessed, @ripe_lyfe sprang back to life with a pep in his step that only a teenager made half of steel and half of rubber could pull off. This double-wide oppo hanger didn’t require an invincibility cheat code, but it didn’t hurt to have it activated anyway.

We didn’t have a bar in the lineup that met her needs, so we worked with her on one! Built to Perris’ desired specifications; the Perris Bar features an 8.78” rise and a narrow 27” width that still allows room for a brake lever. Made using post-weld heat-treated, and butted 4130 chromoly for added strength and reliability. This is the smallest bar in our lineup, and perfect for all riders who need a sub 9” option.
