Writing something about Texas Toast that isn’t trite or cliche is practically impossible. It’s not a bad problem by any means because to be honest, everything you’ve seen or heard about the event is all 100% true. During the past three years, more and more people have been making the pilgrimage to the jam to hang out, party and just flat out shred on little bikes.
I’ve had the pleasure of attending all three jams and each year there’s been moments where I got chills and goosebumps from behind the lens. From Aitken’s rebel run in the inaugural event to this year’s Veteran comp, Texas Toast never ceases to rejuvenate my love for BMX. Seeing everybody from my childhood heroes to the latest upcoming superstars, ride and have fun under one roof is absolutely incredible. We had dudes in that lumberyard who were in their 40’s boosting as high as their teenage counterparts!
When I was piecing together this documentary, it was almost overwhelming all the positive feedback we were getting and the best part was; the riding was almost secondary to the vibe. Sure, there were tons of bat-shit crazy moves that went down but the thing that got everyone most psyched was just how the BMX community came together. From all the brands and volunteers that helped make the event happen to the pros and kids who ventured out to just ride and have fun – everyone chipped in and helped put together on one of the best weekends of the year.
If you couldn’t make it out to any of the jams, hopefully this video will give you guys a good idea of what it was like. Thanks to everyone we talked with in the video and to Adam Banton and Jesus Sons for hooking us up with some tunes for it.

Here’s Shadow Conspiracy reppin’ at Texas Toast this year. Make sure to watch this ’cause there’s a handful of clips in here that hasn’t been seen yet.
Mark’s dirt runs were a treat to watch. Watch him throw down more combos than a heated match of Mortal Kombat in this video from Subrosa.
Come check out what the Redline crew was up to at this year’s Texas Toast!
Corey Bohan was in town for Texas Toast Jam and brought his Hanging Foul crew with him. Check out the episode above for his take on the event and to check out some riding. Sucks that Corey went down, but he is still a badass regardless.
Aaron Ross takes you through some Texas Toast finals in between shredding around town with Mat Houck, Corey Martinez, Gary Young and Chris Childs.
The good times around Toast keep coming!
We’ve got a few Texas Toast Jam shirts and hats leftover from the event, which you can now find in our ONLINE STORE.

The 5050 BMX / Utah crew took a road trip to Texas Toast this year and hit up some spots on the way. Check the video for the good times.
