Bell Helmets
ARF Art Show

One of the after parties we had going on was a live auction art show put on by Bell Helmets to benefit the Athlete Recovery Fund. They gave helmets to a handful of selected artists and gave them free rein to do whatever they wanted. To say the results were amazing is an understatement. All the helmets were incredible and a lot of cash was raised for a good cause.

Make sure to head over to Ride BMX to check out all the helmets and some photos from the show.

If you’re looking for a helmet to protect your dome, Bell has you covered.

Vital‘s #TexasToast2013 Day 2 gallery has some great snapshots in it. Above is Glenn Salyers flipping the tiny kicker. Crandall re-named him to Slayers for the duration of the event and with moves like this, it a fitting nickname. Click HERE to see the rest of the gallery.

Cowbell Challenge
Ride BMX Video

Here’s some video coverage from Ride BMX of the Credence Bikes’ Cowbell Challenge. Aside from all the steezy whips, Leland’s announcing of this makes it a fun watch. Shout out again to Matty Aquizap. Hopefully we’ll all be hearing his name more soon ’cause the dude’s a shredder.

So the Dig Dish is located at the end of the street course. If you’re looking at it from the other end, you’ll see the dish, quite a bit of sky and then the rafters. If someone happens to roast high enough, they kinda just disappear for a little bit before they come back into view. Anyway, from where I was standing, Tyler Fernengel blasted this thing to the point where he’d be out of sight for a good second or two. I wondered what he was doing up there for so long and now I know; stretched out no-handers. Hit up Vital BMX for more photos from Day 1.

Credence Bikes’ Cowbell Challenge

2013 Texas Toast Creedence Cow Bell High Air

Another mini-event we had at #TexasToast2013 was Credence Bikes‘ cow bell challenge. It gives a new twist to the traditional high air contest on dirt. Not only do riders have to blast high enough to reach the bell, they have to get steezy and ding that sucker too. Matty Aquizap showed everyone how it’s done and took home the win!

Haro’s Vet High Air & Best Trick

Video from Ride BMX

We had a series of mini events yesterday and one of them was Haro‘s Veteran Highest Air and Best Trick contest on the old school vert ramp. Only dudes 35 and over were allowed and man, do those guys still know how to get loose. Pat Miller took home the win for Highest Air (Fids came in at a very close second) and our own Jim Cielencki busted a flair and a handplant for Best Trick.

FIDS!

Make sure to hit up FatBMX for more photos and coverage of the mini-event as well!
