Terry Adams has a new how-to up on RideBMX.com. In it, he walks you through the steps of doing a footjam decade and even does it out of a few links in the end! It may be a flatland trick but I’m sure some of you street kids out there could have some fun playing around with it.
Beringer’s Rapid Response
Matt Beringer has a Rapid Response up on DIGBMX.com. It’s short and sweet but worth checking out. Here’s an excerpt:
WHAT’S THE BEST THING ABOUT BMX? The feeling you get when you do something you weren’t sure was possible.
Maul’s Brawl & Fat Bean
Here are a couple events that we’re hooking up with some prizes. They’re happening this weekend so if you live near them, make sure to head out there. First one up is the Fat Bean Street Jam which is happening on the 6th (Saturday) in Tucson, AZ. The second one is Maul’s Brawl which is happening on the 7th (Sunday) in Taunton, MA.
Nitro Circus’ Sidehack
We spent a day last week at one of Nitro Circus‘ training facilities and got to witness an assortment of wheeled vehicles get launched into the air. Among them was the Sunday x Impakt Sidehack shown in the flipbook above. This is Impakt’s ‘Elite’ custom sidehack and it’s more dialed than ever! Loaded with Odyssey components, this 3-wheeler is well equipped to take on the toll of Nitro Circus’ ‘mini’ mega-ramp. A couple brave souls took on the challenge and though the first attempts were kinda sketch (see the video after the jump), we’re pretty sure they’ll be ready and sticking some solid jumps come tour time.
Also, add us on Vimeo and YouTube if you’re on there. We’ll be uploading random clips there for your viewing pleasure. Case in point: Dakota Roche Clip.
Man on the Move
Jim Bauer has an interview up on a website called Man on the Move. In it, he talks about one of his most prized possessions, a 1981 Porsche 911 SC. Boasting elegant curves and a classic 80’s flair, the car is an absolute beauty. If you’re a car guy or just simply looking for an interesting read, make sure to check out the interview.
Hickerson Bike Check!
Danny Hickerson has a bike check up over at Terrible One. He’s kinda been laying low lately as far as video coverage and all that stuff goes but when we were in Texas last month, we witnessed first hand that he’s still out there slaying everything that’s in his path. From flowing around the T1 ramp to floating lofty 360 tables at trails first run, Danny’s still killing it. Click the pic to view the full bike check and hit up the jump to see some clips of him from the Friends section in Electronical.
Custom Mac Icons
We whipped up some desktop icons for Mac users to enjoy. This batch includes all of our sprockets that are currently available, excluding the Burlington in Fire Engine Red. Watch the video above to learn how to use these icons and click here to download.
There’ll be more batches down the road, including PC versions as well!
Tom Perry x Defgrip
Tom Perry, the merrily manualling machine, has a momentously new motion movie up at Defgrip. Watch it over there and download his wallpaper while you’re at it.
Also, if you happen to have a favorite number and a favorite animal, you’re in luck. Those are the only two ingredients you need to become a part of Tom’s Awkward Words experience.
Frostbike!
Kurt Hohberger was busy this past weekend snapping and uploading pics from Frost Bike 2010. Check out the Odyssey booth pictorial up on BMXUnion.com.
Aaron Ross Facebook
A while ago, Aaron maxed out on the number of friends he’s allowed to have on his Facebook profile. The friend requests kept coming in but Facebook wouldn’t let him accept. As a result, he now has a fan page! There isn’t a cap on that so if you’re a fan, make sure to add him!
While you’re at it, add us too!
