Mike Gonzalez is on our team as a ‘racer’ but he can definitely do
a lot more than just gate starts and sprints. Photo by rilabetes.

Here’s another set of great photos from our Flickr group. Thanks to everyone who keeps contributing to it. Keep it up!

There’s officially 3 days left to our Sticker Contest but if it’s a good entry, we may let some stragglers creep in over the weekend. We’ll announce the winner on Monday.

Outside of Flickr, we geek out on these internet hang-outs too: MySpace, VitalBMX and Facebook.

Dreams, available Nov. 4th

Dreams - Available Nov. 4th

Terry Adams sent us an update today about his solo DVD. It’ll be available through FlatlandFuel.com on November 4th. Here’s what he had to say about it:

“This film is a story of my life as a professional flatland rider. I discuss my views on media coverage, contest, my love for flatland, and how I have made riding my bike a career. Mickey Gaidos and I set out to produce and film a movie that is structured not only as a flatland video but a story of motivation and how one person can make anything happen if they believe in their self. Taking your childhood dreams and making them come true is possible for anyone. I wanted to let everyone know that if you want something, you need to push for it and never give it. After one year of very hard work. Mickey gaidos and I are proud to announce that “Dreams” will be available at www.flatlandfuel.com on November 4th. Please order a copy and truly appreciate a film that was meant for all of you to stay motivated, Ride Hard, and keep all your dreams alive.”

Terry Adams flatland battle

Terry Adams just returned from the King of Ground contest in Tokyo Japan. He wound up getting 7th place and 5th in the World Circuit points. Above is the battle he won against Dominik Nekonly, from the Check Republic.

I was pretty stoked on the way I rode. With 56 riders in Pro flat, I felt lucky to be in the top 10.

More Aitken Events / Benefits

We’re flowing some treats to the Kink / Red Bull’s Trick or Treat Jam this weekend and they’ll be raffling it off with proceeds going toward the Mike Aitken Fund. Full flyer after the jump.

If you can’t make it to the Trick or Treat Jam, make sure to check out last week’s post and maybe you’ll find one near you to attend.

Also, hit up Defgrip to check out a collaboration they did with DVS. It’s a pretty cool looking shoe with proceeds going towards the Mike Aitken Fund as well.

Mike Aitken Raffle

EDIT: THE RAFFLE IS OVER NOW. THANKS TO EVERY ONE WHO HELPED!

Recently, Mike Aitken was in a severe BMX accident. He has severe head trauma. The medical bills will be enormous. Mike is a professional rider and in his line of work he is not eligible for health insurance. They claim he is “too high risk.” Mike has contacted numerous insurance offices and has been denied by all. This is where the BMX community can come together and lend a hand to someone in need. You can help.

In collaboration with the 5050bmx, Odyssey is holding a raffle open to all those wanting to help out. $10 gets you 1 ticket, $20 gets you two and so on. What you will win is the bike in the flipbook above. To enter, please visit 5050bmx.com and click on one of the donate buttons at the bottom.

For more information and updates on Mike Aitken’s condition, please visit MikeAitken.com.
