Chase has been added to the Etnies team for 2013. Congrats dude! Good things to come I’m sure.
From Etnies Press Release:
Jan. 2, 2013 (Lake Forest, CA) – etnies is ringing in the new year by signing Chase Hawk, one of BMX’s most progressive riders, to its team. With his speed, smooth style and unrivaled ability to boost incredibly high, Chase Hawk is the rider to watch in 2013. Welcome to the etnies BMX team, Chase!
“Joining the etnies BMX family means a lot to me,” said Chase Hawk. “I’ve been psyched on the team ever since I was a little kid so to finally get the opportunity to work with everyone is going to be awesome. I plan on 2013 being a busy year with etnies producing a ‘welcome to the team’ edit, new product and starting to film for the next full-length etnies video. Thanks again to [team manager] Povah and etnies for giving me the chance to be a part of the team!”
John Povah, etnies BMX Team Manager said: “From a very young age Chase Hawk’s evident talents have set the bar high for creating milestones in BMX. He’s arguably a rider, if not the rider, that other riders wish to emulate and will routinely stop what they’re doing to watch ride. Chase now starts a new chapter in his life as part of the etnies BMX team. It’s overdue, so I’m really stoked that Chase wanted to ride for etnies. He brings a considerable amount to the table and can now be part of something special that he can truly feel proud of. I also think having Chase as part of the team will excite, energize and build on an already amazing team and brand. Welcome to the family Chase!”
We are proud to announce that we have added Lloyd Wright to the crew. Lloyd will be doing it for us through IMG, our distro in England.
This Kink pro has been hoping the pond more and more these days filming for squash it. We recently got to hang out with him during texas toast jam. After that we realized he would be a great fit to the team. Cant wait to see what the future brings for him.
Even though our new Key Chain will not be out until early 2013, here is some official info on it for those who have been inquring. Everyone who saw this at Interbike was stoked on it and we can’t wait to get it out.
Red Bull flew Aaron Ross, Gary Young and a handful of other riders out to Campo de Piedra Pomez in Catamarca, Argentina. It’s basically this spot that’s out in the middle of nowhere filled with natural transitions formed by volcanos. The photos and video (below) from the event look surreal.

This new video with Adam Banton is guaranteed to spread some Christmas cheer. Happy Holidays everyone!
We had been slacking on our TGIF series but we’re back this week with casual moto ride through one of Austin’s many bridges. This still was taken from our Holiday Softgoods video. It’s all available now through our online store, local bike shops and favorite mail orders. The full line is also available at Dan’s Comp.

This is pretty cool. Usually JC completely builds up a bike using aftermarket parts but this time around, he ended up just running a complete bike that’s already built up with nothing but aftermarket parts. As a bonus, there’s even some fresh JC footage in here!
